As the International Union of Islamic Publishers, we have begun our engagements in the Far East. Within the framework of the preparations for our Union's first General Congress to be held in September 2026, our Founding President Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bulut held an important meeting with 19 publishing houses hosted by the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), one of Malaysia's leading higher education institutions.

During the meeting, comprehensive consultations were held regarding the International Islamic Publishing Congress to be held in Istanbul in September and the planned International Union of Islamic Publishers. It was observed with great pleasure that Far Eastern publishers showed intense interest in the Union. The meeting addressed joint publication projects, translation activities, and strengthening publishing cooperation between Malaysia and Türkiye. We will continue to take important steps in Islamic publishing with publishers in the Far East.
