IUIBP Board of Directors Holds Its Second Meeting
The Board of Directors of the International Union of Islamic Book Publishers (IUIBP) held its second meeting since the First General Assembly online on 21 October 2026, chaired by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bulut. Board members from Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa took part, together with the General Secretariat.
The meeting focused on the Union's priorities for the 2026–2029 term. The Board discussed the Three-Year Strategic Plan prepared on the basis of the contributions made at the General Assembly, the formation of the Union's committees, membership and new applications, internal procedures and working principles, and the composition of the Advisory Board.
International cooperation was also on the agenda. The Board reviewed the Union's dialogue with the organisers of the Indonesia Islamic Book Fair and discussed the participation of IUIBP members in upcoming international book fairs.
Board members shared their views and experience in a constructive and productive atmosphere, and expressed their appreciation for the work carried out by the General Secretariat since the General Assembly. The meeting provided a strong basis for turning the Union's shared vision into concrete programmes and projects.
The Board will continue its work in the coming weeks, with the General Secretariat coordinating the next steps.
